Hopefully most of you arent as stubborn as Griz. but im going to tell you this once, until the subject comes up in other posts.
I earnestly pride myself upon the hard work it takes to learn how to become an educated art student. And if you want to know what that means.... it means no bullshit
At least thats what I tried to tell Paolo.
An art student is motivated in his field and excited to learn about new mediums. He or she strives to master the Fine Arts, not in competition but in a manor that reflects the inside of his or her soul and the contemporary times that he or she is encompassed in. A fine artist looks at something that exists, internalizes it, than spreads it upon his or her canvas in a story that communicates with the viewer. An artist has a complex conversation with his or her viewer about things that are going on in the now.
Now I can use big words all day to sound smart, but they really add a good flavor to it. There is a real difference between some one who can draw acouple of good things on a piece of printer paper and some one who can spend four days on a canvas and be satisfied when the last stroke of the brush is in the bottom right corner of the piece. i think the real question comes down to... Well what is art? and now a days you can say that everything is art
But we All know thats bullshit.
Because real art has been passed down from the classics. Now I could spend all day listing them off. but ill spare you. but honestly, dont bullshit yourself with skipping fine art. There is a reason why its a pleasure for a upper echelon of the population. Why do your parents buy artwork for the house? Then wonder how much they pay for those items. And then wonder how your house would be with white walls....
Its a big difference. Dont ask me.... ask a professor, ask some one who works in a gallery, ask a painter, ask a mayor, ask a classical musician, ask a lawyer, ask a doctor. You know... The rich adults. look it up for yourself.
no more bullshit
